AM MEETING - Karey Bresenhan

"Texas Quilt Museum" - Karey Bresenhan is descended from five generations of Texas Quilters. In 1974 she opened Great Expectations Quilt Shop. She is founder of Quilts, Inc and the International Quilt Festival. She introduced Quilt Market in 1980. Karey and her cousin Nancy O'Bryant Puentes have co-authored three books about the history of Texas quiltmakers from 1836 to present.

She will tell us about her latest gift for quiltmakers - The Texas Quilt Museum in LaGrange, which she opened in November, 2011.

You Can Never Own Too Many Stripes! - Mary bills herself as one of the foremost buyers of stripe fabrics in the country. It doesn't make any difference what color, size, or style a stripe is. She says, "If it isn't nailed down, I'll buy it." Stripes are great in both traditional and contemporary quilts as well as wearables.

AM MEETING - Jet Sanford

"Round Robins" - Jet began quilting in 1982 while living in Saudi Arabia. During her twelve years there, she was a member of an ex-pat quilt guild. Her love is paper faundation piecing.

She was introduced to round robin quilts and has been a member of a round robin group for four years. She will bring a number of round robin quilts to share with the quild.
